Learn how Microsoft SharePoint can simplify everyday work issues at a half day workshop to be held March 6, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at NetCom Learning offices located on the fourth floor at 20 W 33 Street in New York City. The workshop will be led by Microsoft SharePoint Technical Specialist, Ira Fuchs, along with IT and business skills training leader, NetCom Learning. The workshop entitled Microsoft SharePoint Hero Half Day Clinic will address the functionality of both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013. The clinic is perfect for all SharePoint Power users and site administrators.

  • How to Create a Great Scheduling and Resource Reservation System Using SharePoint Calendars: You will learn how to extend SharePoint calendars to provide a flexible and scalable system for scheduling people and events, and reserving shared resources such as conference and meeting rooms for those events.
  • Document Creation Automation Using SharePoint Designer Workflows: You will learn how to create SharePoint Designer workflows that automate the generation of documents that will have information inserted into them by the workflow from a form or SharePoint list.
  • How to Automatically Update Contact Information in Outlook Using SharePoint Contact Lists and SharePoint External Content Types: A demonstration of two methods for automating the process of capturing contact information in SharePoint and effortlessly making it available to Outlook for any number of people, and allowing the bidirectional editing of contact information from both Outlook and SharePoint.
  • The featured speaker for the event is Ira Fuchs, author of SharePoint Cheap Thrills and Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint2010, SharePoint Technical Specialist and NetCom Learning instructor supporting the Microsoft New York metropolitan area. Mr. Fuchs has more than thirty five years experience in information technology and for the last five years has worked assisting Microsoft corporate customers in the deployment of the SharePoint platform. In addition, Ira is the author of multiple TechNet White Papers and a presenter at SharePoint events. Mr. Fuchs possesses the SharePoint MCTS certification.
